It's all about positioning

The first step to understanding the benefits of Flex is to understand your own anatomy.

Flex Disc sits in the vaginal fornix, not the canal like other period products. This eases pressure in the vagina. There are also fewer nerve endings in the fornix than the canal, so it can't be felt at all once in place.

FLEX collects fluid instead of absorbing like pads or tampons & can hold as much as 3 super tampons.

What real users have said about Flex and their cramps:

“I love this thing so damn much, less cramps, and the cramps aren't as intense. You don't feel it, you don't worry about leaks, waking up, staining panties, NOTHING. This allows you to freaking OWN your period.”

Sarah

“Where have you been all my life?
I was able to get insertion right on my first disc, and it was incredible to work a full 12 hour shift without having to change a pad or tampon. And I was so skeptical, but my cramps went from a normal 12 on a pain scale of 1-10 to a 2!

Jaylin

“I typically have cramps so bad that muscle relaxers to get through the day ARE A MUST! Shockingly, I didn’t have cramps hardly at all! And the ones I did have were manageable and I don't need to take anything for them. Seriously a game changer!”

Jackie

“I’ve been using these for a year & have a heavy flow... they made my horrible cramps go away, made me completely forget I was even on my period, and caught EVERYTHING! Love love LOVE these so much! Just like beginning with tampons, it’s a little tricky to figure out what way to insert them, but with a little practice it’s easy breezy. Don’t think, just buy.”

Sounds great, but how does it really work?

The lower third of the vagina is innervated by the pudendal nerve, which has more sensory fibers in it than the nerves innervating the upper portions of the vagina. Many people who menstruate feel the pressure of a tampon expanding while cramping in their lower vagina cannot feel Flex in the upper vagina due to the differences in innervation and shape of the vagina, and then the shape of the respective products. Those with endometriosis pain could especially benefit from a product that does not exacerbate cramps.
