  1. Insert - Wash your hands, pinch the disc in half and insert it into the vaginal canal by pushing the edge that goes in first down toward the floor. Tuck the rim above your pubic bone.
  2. Wear it for up to 12 hours.
  3. Remove - With clean hands, slide your finger up under the front edge of FLEX Disc and pull straight down, keeping it parallel to the floor.
  4. Dispose- Turn disc upside down to empty in toilet. Place the empty disc in a wrapper and dispose of in the trash.

Game changer! Especially if you’re forgetful like me!

It took me forever to try a tampon alternative but I’m SO glad I finally hopped on the disc train!

PROS

(1) they truly lightened the usual mental load of period maintenance. Unlike tampons, I didn’t have to worry about leaking or frequent changing. I was able to sleep without disturbances & spend time outside (ie, out and about w/ limited to no public bathroom access) without worry. That alone was so unexpectedly valuable and the biggest pro for me bc I’m often distracted/forgetful.

I foresee these being a massive game changer for me for things like outdoor concerts/festivals, traveling, nights out, etc.!

(2) I was genuinely surprised at how much more comfy than tampons (—and def pads—) these were. once I got settled in, I didn’t feel *a thing*.

(3) the learning curve was super low (which was formerly a passive but significant deterrent for me, re: discs and cups); getting the hang of using these was a breeze for me. By the second disc I felt totally familiar with the process and had no issues the rest of the week.

(4) unlike tampons, there isn’t unfriendly stuff that can throw you *~off balance~*.

CON (more like “EH”)

A minor challenge (and the only one so far) for me is the changing process bc I’m used to the convenience of a string sitch (I’ve yet to have to change while using a public restroom) but again, low learning curve product!

Also, changing isn’t as frequent as tampons/pads and the “hands-free emptying” method gave me peace of mind between changes. For…

Best period experience ever!

I have tried all sorts of products and none of them worked well for me, either irritating me, making me cramp more, or having weird chemicals that threw my pH off. Seriously, it was to the point I was free-bleeding or using (clean, all-cotton) socks as pads. I kept seeing Flex advertised and finally decided to take the plunge, and I'm so glad I did! I had an initial moment of panic after inserting the disc, worried I wouldn't be able to remove it, but I'm happy to report they are super easy to remove! Flex is comfortable and effective, and I love that it doesn't interfere with my pH at all. I also enjoy being able to have mess-free period sex...hooray for no more blood-stained sheets! I've been giving out Flex to everyone I know who gets their period, I'm that in love with them! Totally worth the cost, totally effective, and totally comfortable...what more could you ask for?!

Ditched the tampons

I ditched tampons for good and solely use flex disc. Not only are they more convenient and comfortable, they have reduced my cramps immensely.

Game changer

I absolutely love these! I have less if any cramping. My periods have been shorter. I love that it’s less waste than pads and tampons. Also like others have said as well you can’t feel it at all. So comfortable I forget I’m on my period most times.
